Key Stage 3
In Year 8, sessions involve learning about self awareness, with students finding out about themselves and their strengths and weaknesses. They also start a two year Careers program called ‘The Real Game’. This helps them to understand how their working life and the choices they make will fundamentally affect their future.
‘The Real Game’ reaches its conclusion in Year 9. In addition, the Careers programme includes target setting and decision making activities designed to support their Y10 Pathway choices that students will have to make.
Students are introduced to the Connexions Resources within the Information Centre and have experience of using Kudos (a guidance software program).
