Key Stage 4
Careers sessions continue in Year 10 and are designed to deliver quality Careers Education and Guidance to students and to prepare them for their two week Work Experience Placement in term 4. Topics covered include the construction of CVs, Personal Statements andĀ Letters of Application. Following their placements, their experiences are evaluated and this is used as a basis for developing their Progress Profiles.
In Year 11 the focus is on Post 16 options and students are given detailed information on the main courses of action open to them. Activities during the year will include interview techniques, awareness of opportunities at Post 16, the application process (including guidance with Routes Ahead), the advantages and disadvantages of training, Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and Personal Finance.
